What to do if you delete a supplier without remove product range data first:
If you DO NOT remove the product range data before deleting the supplier information, the product will remain on a website but wont show an image. It will look like this in the sub category images:
If this happens, please follow the below steps to properly remove the data.
- Log in to the MPS Website
- Go to a Main Category Page and See if any of the Sub Category Icons are not showing like this:
- Right Click on one of them here, and go to Copy Image Address
- Paste that address in the address bar, but do not click enter. We just want to read it like the below. We need to find out who the supplier range is.
- In this case it is INTEX which is The Orient Collection
- Once we find out this information, we go to the MPS Website Admin Page
- Click Delete Products/Suppliers which are flagged as delete
- Delete all Product Records to be Deleted and then Delete all Supplier Records
- When finished, they all should show 0
- Go back to the Admin Page
- Then click Add Suppliers
- We want to add back in that supplier we found earlier showing the broken image with the supplier code of INTEX
- All we need to fill out is this information, then click submit:
- Once you hit submit it will say is has succeeded.
- Go back to the Admin Page
- Then click Remove Product Range Data
- Find the supplier we need to remove, this case it was INTEX-DELETE
- Then Hit Remove Product Details
- Once removed, go to Edit/View/Remove Existing Suppliers
- Find the range we need to delete, and click REMOVE
- Go back through all Sub Categories and find more broken images and do the above process until all suppliers and products have been properly removed.
