Log into Promo Office -> Navigate to Settings -> Select Manage Status
Select 'Create Status'
Select a Status Type, Name the Status and then select 'Create'
Select Jobs -> Manage Jobs
Choose a relevant job and select 'View'
In the Job Header Details select Follow-Up Status -> Select Backorder (Or whatever you have named your status)
You can also select 'CRM' to see that the follow-up status has been updated. Here you can also add notes about what exact items are on backorder. in the comments section down the bottom.
You can see the Follow-Up status has updated immediately to say 'Backorder'
Selecting the Drop Down menu under 'Follow-Up' Status you can filter all jobs that have a status of Backorder.
You can view these in the Promo Office reporting system as well
From the Top-Navigation select 'Reports' -> Job Status
